Omaha Tactical LLC provides weapon parts coatings in two different forms. Nikel
Teflon and Cerakote finishes. SEE BELOW FOR PRICING AND EXAMPLES
NICKEL TEFLON COATING
Nickel Teflon coating allows your weapon part
greater reliability by providing a greater friction coefficient and reducing the overall wear your
parts endure over extended use periods. The coating also makes the weapon easier to clean. The Teflon allows the
user to simply just wipe many of the parts down with a rag and re-lubricate to fully clean the weapon. After a long
day on the range it’s very nice to simply take out your Teflon coated bolt carrier wipe it down and reinsert it.
FRICTION
/ LUBRICITY
Nickel Teflon coatings provide very low frictional values far superior to conventional electroplated deposits.
The wear resistance of nickel teflon is very good in applications where sliding wear is involved. In
non-lubricated wear applications, deposits of MICROLUBE can increase part life by reducing friction. the anti-stick properties
of Nickel teflon are excellent, resulting in improved part quality and greatly reduced cycle times. Reductions of
20 - 35% are common.
CORROSION RESISTANCE
The corrosion protection afforded by this coating is enhanced by the
high phosphorus content of the nickel matrix. At thicknesses of 0.5 to 1.0 mil, salt spray resistance of 500 to 1000 Hours
per ASTM B 117 can be achieved.
Nickel teflon coating is a unique electro less nickel composite plating process that co deposits Teflon
(polytetrafluoroethylene) at 20 to 25% by volume as occluded particles in the plated coating. This chemical plating process
is specially designed to produce a consistent amount of uniformly dispersed PTFE throughout the nickel matrix in order to
insure optimum performance in high friction and non-lubricated applications. Components with complex shapes are especially
well served since the process provides 100% coverage with no edge build-up! Typical coating thickness is .0002" - .0003"
thick.
Omaha
Tactical LLC is not a gun dealer and cannot accept lower receivers for coating procedures. All parts other than barrels
and lower receivers are accepted.
